Job Purpose
To provide day-to-day counseling and psychological support to children and families during treatment or follow-up, ensuring they complete treatment and maintain mental well-being.
Key Responsibilities
1. Planning & Assessment
Conduct psychological assessments for planning interventions.
Perform admission, intermediate, and discharge assessments.
Prepare coping and behavior modification tools.
Ensure a minimum of 2 counseling sessions per family per month.
2. Individual & Group Counseling
Conduct one-on-one and group sessions (weekly, monthly, emergency).
Provide palliative and bereavement counseling when needed.
Liaise with Centre Managers and staff on specific issues.
Offer telephonic counseling support for families at hospitals.
3. Discharge & Follow-Up
Conduct discharge assessments and guide families on post-discharge care.
Follow up with children to evaluate the impact of counseling sessions.
4. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain daily work, observations, and session plans on Google Sheets.
Generate monthly/quarterly/annual MIS and center-wise impact reports.
Maintain assessment records (admission, intermediate, discharge).
5. Additional Responsibilities
Coordinate with teachers and Centre Managers on children’s behavior and progress.
Share important case updates on the AL-Counselling WhatsApp group.
Requirements
Proven experience in child counseling or psychological support.
Excellent communication skills in the respective regional languages:
Borivali, Mumbai: Marathi, Hindi, English
Bangalore: Kannada, Hindi, English
Madurai: Tamil, Hindi, English
Empathetic, organized, and able to support children & families under stress.
Ability to maintain records and generate professional reports.
Female candidates preferred.
